I've decided to change up my Want It Wednesday posts just a little and only feature two or three books so I can include a little bit about the book as well as the pretty cover!
Evermore by Alyson Noel.
About the Book: (from the cover): Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…
Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.
GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: Ok, to be honest I was super lucky and got an ARC of this one and reviewed it for teensreadtoo.com (review coming soon to my blog!) But I'm such a big fan that I can't wait until the book comes out so I can buy copies to give to friends and buy a copy for myself that I won't mind passing around to those who want to read it (I feel protective of my ARC copy and would hate to lose it!)
The September Sisters by Jillian Cantor
About the Book: (from Amazon): Abigail Reed and her younger sister, Becky, are always at each other's throats. Their mother calls them the September Sisters, because their birthdays are only a day apart, and pretends that they're best friends. But really, they delight in making each other miserable. Then Becky disappears in the middle of the night, and a torn gold chain with a sapphire heart charm is the only clue to the mystery of her kidnapping. Abby struggles to cope with her own feelings of guilt and loss as she tries to keep her family together. When her world is at its bleakest, Abby meets a new neighbor, Tommy, who is dealing with his own loss, and the two of them discover that love can bloom, even when it's surrounded by thorns.
GreenBeanTeenQueen Says: This one is from a debut author, so if I decide to do the '09 debut author challenge, I'll be one author in with this one-yay! I've read some great reviews and heard some buzz about this book and even some whispered comparisons to Sarah Dessen-so I can't wait to read this one!

ReplyDeleteThey both look great. You're so lucky to have an ARC of Evermore. I know what you mean though...I'm a bit protective of my ARC's as well.
