The winner of the birthday contest is:
Melanie said Something, Maybe was a great summer read (she's so right!) And she won on her birthday, so happy birthday Melanie!
Since I asked what everyone's favorite summer reads were, I thought I'd share the answers. Some people like light fluffy romance, where others lean more towards issue books, mysteries and action. Sarah Dessen got the most mentions but Sarah Ockler's debut book Twenty Boy Summer wasn't far behind, so way to go Sarah O! (And yes, I love that two of the top authors share my name!:) The other most popular summer reads author was Meg Cabot.
