Close to a Katniss?

Sources today are saying that we're very close to casting Katniss for The Hunger Games movie. Various sources have been reporting that we could have the casting offer today. And who is everyone saying the role goes to?

Jennifer Lawrence is looking like the winner, but nothing is official yet, so we're still waiting to hear exactly what happens.

In other Hunger Games news, Josh Hutcherson is vying for a role. Articles I've read have him as Peeta, which maybe he could pull off, but I want Peeta blonde, so he has some hair dyeing to do!!

  2. I actually always pictured Peeta as a blond Josh Hutcherson for some reason. So that casting would be cool with me!

  5. In my mind... well, Katniss does not look like Jennifer Lawrence. :/

  6. I'm kind of sad that it seems like they're aging the characters. I get why they would but I think part of the power of the story is having young kids doing these attrocious things. Not that 18-20 year olds doing it is acceptable by any mean but it just loses something by going that route.

  7. I think the reason they're going with an older casting (and why they do it in general) is to handle the labor laws surrounding casting someone who is ACTUALLY 16. Whereas with an 18 year old, a full adult, they don't need to be concerned with limiting hours and arranging tutors, etc etc etc. So I certainly won't be shocked in the least if they go with someone who is 18+.

  8. I am not familiar with her. I haven't really paid attention to anything Lawrence was in. But, it is very exciting. I imagine Peeta as a blonde also. Thanks for the info. - Parajunkee

13 District Mockingjay Tour: District 4

Hello and welcome to District Four. I'm sorry that Finnick isn't here to be your host. I know as a member of District Four I should be cheering for my own tribute, but after watching the last two Hunger Games play out I have fallen in love with Peeta Mellark! Why do I love Peeta? He's smart, he's funny, and he's charming. He stands up for what he believes, he's loyal and he's not afraid to do what's right. He's sensitive and caring but can also be strong and kick butt. He fights for Katniss and with Katniss. Peeta is a great diplomat and he knows how to bring people together. He can also be sneaky to get what he wants. Plus, did I mention he can bake? And he's hot!! But it's not just me! We have an underground club of sorts here in District Four-Seafaring Librarians for Peeta! Here's what some of our members had to say about their love for Peeta: - Team Peeta!! I love their relationship because they balance each other perfectly. Where
