Blogging Break: Welcome Baby GreenBean

He's arrived! Baby GreenBean arrived on Tuesday and he's already a reader! Of course I would expect nothing less from my little guy!

So of course you understand if I take a short blogging break over the next few weeks. There may still be some posts but they will be more sparse for awhile . I need to spend time reading to Baby GreenBean and hopefully getting some sleep! I'll be back to blogging more regularly soon.

In the meantime, do you have any suggestions on favorite board books or picture books for Baby GreenBean? If love to add to his library!!

  1. Congrats, Sarah! Your baby is SO cute. Of course you deserve a break to enjoy your baby.

I'd suggest some books for you but my daughter is in high school and I'm sure you already know the ones we read because they are the popular ones like Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Pat the Bunny, etc. Enjoy your time with your sweet baby!

  2. Ahhh, congratulations! He's so sweet :)

I think my kids' all-time favorite picture book is CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM. Your is a *bit* too little for it yet, but it's a great one!

  3. I really love the Begin Smart series for newborns and younger babies. "Peekaboo Kisses" was a big hit in the early months too and still stands the test of time.

  6. Congratulations! Of COURSE he's already a reader. He's got the best mom showing him the way! I'm partial to Mem Fox's books - especially Ten Little Fingers, Ten Little Toes and Time for Bed. And Leslie Patricelli's books! Yummy Yucky is my fave.

We love Sandra Boynton and Caroline Jayne Church's books: "How Do I Love You?" "Good Night I Love You" and "I Love You Through and Through". There are four "Llama Llama" board books that have fun rhymes and actions.

13 District Mockingjay Tour: District 4

Hello and welcome to District Four. I'm sorry that Finnick isn't here to be your host. I know as a member of District Four I should be cheering for my own tribute, but after watching the last two Hunger Games play out I have fallen in love with Peeta Mellark! Why do I love Peeta? He's smart, he's funny, and he's charming. He stands up for what he believes, he's loyal and he's not afraid to do what's right. He's sensitive and caring but can also be strong and kick butt. He fights for Katniss and with Katniss. Peeta is a great diplomat and he knows how to bring people together. He can also be sneaky to get what he wants. Plus, did I mention he can bake? And he's hot!! But it's not just me! We have an underground club of sorts here in District Four-Seafaring Librarians for Peeta! Here's what some of our members had to say about their love for Peeta: - Team Peeta!! I love their relationship because they balance each other perfectly. Where ...
